Avionics Innovations was founded in 1994 by Dave Hainline of Ramona, CA. An experienced avionics technician with a background in both military and civilian aircraft, Dave's first venture was Ramona Avionics, which he started in 1990.

As his avionics shop grew, Dave saw opportunities for innovative products for his customers' aircraft. In particular, their existing audio entertainment systems usually consisted of either portable devices or the trusty old ADF!

Drawing on his experience as an installer, Dave began development of an AM/FM/CD stereo system with the following features:

• Reliability—Dependable operation in the harsh environment of light aircraft
• Certification—Full FAA approval for installation in aircraft
• Looks—Visually pleasing equipment that integrates well with existing avionics
• Usability—Simple to use in flight without extensive training
• Ease of Installation—Use of aircraft-style connectors and mounting assemblies

Avionics Innovations was formed to certify, manufacture and market this product. As the company prospered, it soon outgrew its facilities within the Ramona Avionics hangar. In 1996, Bob Pasch was named General Manager and shortly thereafter the company moved into its present 3000 square-foot office and manufacturing facilities.

Today, Avionics Innovations produces a full line of audio entertainment devices certified for aircraft installation. The company prides itself on producing quality products backed up by exceptional customer service.
